摘要 An organic light emitting diode display including a short detecting circuit and a method of driving the same are disclosed. The organic light emitting diode display includes a pixel unit including pixels coupled to scan lines and data lines, a DC-DC converter for outputting a first power source and a second power source when a start signal is supplied, a first power source line and a second power source line for supplying the first power source and the second power source output from the DC-DC converter to the pixel unit, and a short detecting circuit for determining whether the first power source line and the second power source line are shorted before the DC-DC converter is driven and for supplying the start signal to the DC-DC converter when the first power source line and the second power source line are not shorted.

An organic light emitting diode display having a short detecting circuit, the display comprising: a pixel unit including pixels coupled to scan lines and data lines; a DC-DC converter configured to output a first power voltage and a second power voltage in response to a start signal; a first power source line and a second power source line configured to supply the first power voltage and the second power voltage from the DC-DC converter to the pixel unit; and a short detecting circuit configured to determine whether the first power source line and the second power source line are shorted, wherein the short detecting circuit is configured to supply the start signal to the DC-DC converter if the first power source line and the second power source line are not shorted, wherein the short detecting circuit includes: a voltage outputting unit configured to apply a sensing voltage to the first power source line, anda controller configured to compare a voltage of the second power source line with a reference voltage and to supply the start signal to the DC-DC converter if the voltage of the second power source line is less than the reference voltage.
