摘要 A binder composition comprising [A] an amorphous polyamide with a glass transition temperature of 140° C. or higher having a dicyclohexylmethane skeleton in the molecule and [B] a sulfonamide compound is used to provide a binder composition, a reinforcing-fiber base material and a preform respectively most suitable for RTM, which respectively exhibit excellent impact resistance and physical properties remaining stable over the variations of molding conditions and can be used for producing a fiber-reinforced composite material most suitable for members such as primary structures of aircraft.

A binder composition comprising components [A] and [B]: [A] an amorphous polyamide with a glass transition temperature of 140° C. or higher and comprising a dicyclohexylmethane unit; and [B] toluenesulfonamide; the binder composition contains 40 to 80 mass % of the component [A] and 10 to 40 mass % of the component [B]; and the binder composition complies with the following conditions I) and (II): Condition (I): the glass transition temperature of the binder composition is 40 to 90° C.; and Condition (II): when the mixture obtained by mixing 10 parts by mass of the binder composition with 100 parts by mass of an epoxy resin containing 40 mass % or more of N,N,N′,N′-tetraglycidyl-4,4′- methylenedianiline and stirring at a temperature of 180° C. for 1 hour is observed at a magnification of 5× using a light-field optical microscope, solid particles of the binder composition with particle sizes of 10 μm or larger can be observed, and the viscosity the filtrate obtained by filtering the solid particles from the mixture is 5 times or less the viscosity of the epoxy resin not yet mixed.
