The present invention relates to an indicator display method of an electronic device, and an electronic device thereof. An operating method of the electronic device comprises the steps of: sharing an object, which will be jointly produced, by transmitting the same to other electronic device; acquiring touch information of the object from message received from the other electronic device; distinguishing a surface touch of the object and a hovering touch based on the touch information; and displaying an indicator capable of distinguishing between the surface touch and the hovering touch. The present invention may have other embodiments different from the aforementioned embodiment.
