PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a titanium oxide-based visible light-responsive photocatalyst having high sensitivity to the entire region of visible light and showing high activity to photolysis of water.SOLUTION: There are provided: a visible light region responsive catalyst body obtained by applying a visible light region responsive catalyst prepared by adding a co-catalyst prepared by blending one or two or more of a metal hydroxide, a metal sulfate and a metal carbonate in a metal oxide to a main component of titanium oxide onto a surface of a composite plate formed by combining materials having different electrical conductivity; and a water decomposition method utilizing the same. |
