PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface treatment method of a valve box capable of preventing ricketiness in the radial direction of the valve box to a susceptor by a simple structure. ! SOLUTION: A valve box 1 is placed on a susceptor 14, and a positioning protrusion 16 provided on the susceptor 14 is inserted into a recess 6 formed on the valve box 1. Then, an insertion member 21 comprising an elastic material expandable/contractible in the radial direction A is interposed between the outer periphery of the positioning protrusion 16 and the inner periphery of the recess 6, and a coating formation material 12 is sprayed from a spray device 13 to the outer surface of the valve box 1, while rotating the susceptor 14. !
