PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method capable of preventing a system from being stopped for the shortage of memory, and capable of integrated processing of a stream data process and a data management system by using the same query in execution of both. ! SOLUTION: An extraction device includes: an input unit 60 for accepting input of a query, a maximum memory increment, and a lower limit of efficiency as a processing time per unit memory increment; and an extraction unit 62 for calculating, for each subquery, a memory increment and a reduced processing time when stream data is processed, and calculating efficiency, selecting at least one subquery whose efficiency is greater than or equal to the lower limit, integrating the calculated memory increment with respect to the selected subquery, and extracting the selected subquery as an object to be converted, on condition that the integrated memory increment is less than or equal to the maximum memory increment. !
