PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication control method for performing appropriate processing in the case of occurrence of bus abnormality, in an electronic control device including only one CAN module set into a normal mode and one or more CAN modules set into an exclusive reception mode.SOLUTION: When bus abnormality occurs, a CAN module A 15 in a normal mode detects the bus abnormality in S01 because a CAN module B 16 in an exclusive reception mode cannot detect the bus abnormality. When the bus abnormality is detected (S01:YES), a shift to CAN initialization processing of S10 is performed to execute initialization processing of both of the CAN module A 15 and CAN module B 16. When the initialization processing of all of the CAN modules 15, 16 is normally completed, CAN communication is started. Synchronizing the initialization processing of all of the CAN modules 15, 16 makes it possible to control the plurality of CAN modules 15, 16 as "a united single CAN module." |
