PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image with a wide dynamic range without reducing a size of a photodiode portion.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus includes: an imaging device 1400 composed of a plurality of pixels each of which includes a photodiode (PD), a plurality of charge-coupled devices (CCDs) for accumulating electric charge generated in the PD, control means for controlling accumulation of the electric charge in each of the plurality of CCDs, and reading means for reading out a signal corresponding to electric charge from each of the plurality of CCDs; and generation means for generating a signal of each pixel from signals read out respectively from the plurality of CCDs. In each pixel, the PD is configured on a first chip, and the plurality of CCDs, the control means and the reading means are configured on a second chip. |
