<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor device which achieves low power consumption by applying an AVS (Adaptive Voltage Scaling) power supply control technology, prevents the occurrence of failure (malfunction), and improves reliability.SOLUTION: A semiconductor device comprises: a power supply 7; a circuit block 1 which has at least one storage element 2 and 4 and operates upon receiving supply of a power supply voltage from the power supply; a power supply control circuit 6 for changing the power supply voltage by controlling the power supply; and a storage element monitoring circuit 5 for producing when the power supply voltage drops, a first malfunction signal at a first margin voltage higher than a voltage at which the storage element does not normally operate. The power supply control circuit controls the power supply so as to prevent the power supply voltage from getting lower than the first margin voltage.</p> |
