PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel pressure-contact distortion test method capable of evaluating pressure-contact distortion of a paper feed roller simply without performing a prototype test. ! SOLUTION: A paper feed roller 1 or its sample is placed calmly for a fixed time, while applying a fixed load thereto under a high temperature environment of a fixed temperature T1 (first step), and then placed calmly for a fixed time under an environment of a fixed temperature T2 which is lower than the temperature T1, while maintaining the pressure-contact state (second step).
