PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detergent composition which hardly causes turbidity and has good handleability. ! SOLUTION: There is provided a detergent composition which comprises: an anionic surfactant A selected from a sulfonate type surfactant and a sulfuric acid ester salt type surfactant; an amphoteric surfactant B; and water, where the amphoteric surfactant B is a betaine type surfactant represented by the following general formula (1) and the composition has a viscosity of 1000 mPa s at 25°C.
