PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a kitchen knife that improves the cut-off of a cut piece sticking to a blade plate surface when cutting a cut-off object. ! SOLUTION: A blade plate surface 2 of a blade body S is provided with linear salients 4 slenderly protruding along the blade plate surface 2 from the vicinity of a cutting part 1 in an oblique direction inclined slightly to the side of a grip 6 directing closer to a ridge 3. These salients 4 are provided side by side longitudinally in a direction along the cutting part 1. A tip 7 is provided at a position about 6.0-12.0 mm off from the blade edge 5, and a terminal 8 is provided from a direction closer to the ridge 3 away from this position and further obliquely to the side of the grip 6 by 15-50 degrees, in particular, in a direction inclined by 20-40 degrees. !
