One embodiment of the present invention relates to a greenhouse gas emission reduction analysis apparatus and a method thereof. The purpose of the present invention is to create multiple scenarios in a transportation area, and to calculate a possible amount of a mid-and long-term greenhouse gas emission reduction in a transportation area by using a MESSAGE program for each of the scenarios. To this end, disclosed are the greenhouse gas emission reduction analysis apparatus and the method thereof, wherein the apparatus comprises: an information module for receiving and collecting general information and technical information for the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions; a reduction model design module for building a model data for the model of energy supply strategy alternatives and their general environmental impacts (MESSAGE) program by calculating sequentially basic units and greenhouse gas emission reduction amounts by using the general information and the technical information; and a reduction model modeling for inputting and modeling the model data obtained from the reduction model design module in the MESSAGE program and for deriving greenhouse gas emission reduction amounts over time.
