PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a feed device capable of reducing a possibility that overlap feeding of sheets may occur.SOLUTION: A feed device 70 comprises: a feed roller 75 that feeds a recording paper supported on faces 45 of a bypass tray 71 in a feeding direction 87; a feed arm 76 that supports rotatably the feed roller 75 on one end thereof and can be turned; recessed portions 46 provided in the faces 45; a pressing arm 73, one end 49 of which is closer to an upstream in the feeding direction 87 than the other end 50 and separated from the faces 45, which can be turned with the one end 49 as a turning shaft and is turned between a first position where the other end 50 enters the recessed portions 46 and a second position where the other end 50 retreats from the recessed portions 46; and a torsion spring 52 that energizes the pressing arm 73 toward the first position. When the pressing arm 73 is at the first position, a face 53 is positioned closer to an upstream in the feeding direction 87 than the feed roller 75. The other end 50 of the pressing arm 73 at the second position is positioned closer to a downstream in the feeding direction 87 than the feed roller 75. |
