PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate an image whose edge is enhanced while suppressing an occurrence of ringing.SOLUTION: An image processing device of this invention performs edge emphasizing processing to an input image to generate an output image, and includes a line gain calculation part for calculating the absolute value of Gradient and the absolute value of Laplacian to the input image to calculate a line gain on the basis of a calculation result, a line gain correction part for calculating a blend coefficient that can take a positive or negative value on the basis of the input image and the line gain to correct the line gain on the basis of the blend coefficient, and a gain application part for applying the corrected line gain to the input image to generate an output image. |
