PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electric machine capable of improving cooling performance of a stator coil and a stator core. ! SOLUTION: In the rotary electric machine, an outside outer diameter portion 26 of an exhaust hole 24 is formed on the inner diameter side more than a position in a fan blade 27 of a centrifugal fan 13, which is opposed to an axial-side end face 30 in an axial direction, so that positional relation in which the axial-side end face 30 of the fan blade 27 and the exhaust hole 24 are not overlapped in the axial direction is obtained. Consequently, cooling air exhausted from the exhaust hole 24 can be controlled so as not to be easily returned to the exhaust hole 24, so that exhaust efficiency is improved and the stator coil 22 and the stator core 21 can be efficiently cooled. !
