PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printed matter preventing forgery of an ink, excellent in forgery resistance, without being confined to the faint color density in printed image and changed to an image having no correlation under reflected light and transmitted light. ! SOLUTION: A printed matter having a transparent latent image has a printed pattern having a color different from an optically transparent substrate on the substrate. The printed pattern comprises plural elements arranged so that an information element formed by a first chromatically colored ink, a camouflage element formed by a second ink lower in brightness and higher in light transmittance than the first ink, and a transmitted image element formed by a third ink having the same brightness as that of the second ink and lower in light transmittance than that, do not lap over each other.
