PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve workability of removal work of a press winding tape in an optical cable on which the press winding tape is wound in a longitudinally support fashion. ! SOLUTION: An optical cable 1 includes a cable core 11 accommodating a plurality of coated optical fibers 13 and a press winding tape 16 wound around the circumference of the cable core 11 in a longitudinally support fashion. In the optical cable 1, at least part of the surface of the upper layer side (overlapping part 16a) of overlapping parts 16a and 16b of the press winding tape 16 and/or the end surface 16c of the upper layer side is continuously or intermittently colored along a longer direction. !
