PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical information system configured to improve convenience of a user who uses an application. ! SOLUTION: A medical information system S includes: a tenanted medical information system 2 of a first medical information system Sa; a tenanted medical information system 2 of a second medical information system Sb; and an area-linked manager 41 which manages workflow information in association with a user. The tenanted medical information system 2 of the second medical information system Sb reads workflow information corresponding to a request user from the area-linked manager 41, starts an alternative application in place of an application associated with a display layout in the first medical information system Sa in the workflow information, and causes the alternative application to generate medical information in the second medical information system Sb. !
