PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a surface-treated cycloolefin resin film by treating a film surface with an organic solvent, in which generation of cracks at an end of the film is suppressed when the organic solvent is applied longitudinally all over the ends in a width direction of the film. ! SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a surface-treated cycloolefin resin film comprises treating a stretched film made of a cycloolefin resin with an organic solvent that contains substantially no solute and gives a change to the cycloolefin resin by contact; and the method includes a solvent application step of applying the above organic solvent on a cycloolefin resin film. The film supplied to the solvent application step has at least 400 mm width. The organic solvent is not applied in areas from both ends in the width direction of the film to at least 10 mm inside toward the center of the film, but is applied in an area inside the above end areas. !
