PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle disc brake which is reducible in the size of a pad retainer, and can improve a degree of freedom of a layout. ! SOLUTION: A pad retainer 10 comprises: retainer parts 10a having inside pieces 10d, outside pieces 10e, and depth-side pieces 10f for connecting the outside pieces 10e and the inside pieces 10d; connecting pieces 10b which straddle an outer edge of a disc rotor 2, and connect the outside pieces 10e of a pair of the retainer parts 10a which are arranged at both sides of the disc rotor 2; and a pair of attachment parts 10c attached to a pad retainer attachment part 3h.
