PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device with touch panel in which the sensitivity of an electrode part highly likely to be touched is improved by increasing the subscan frequency on the electrode part.SOLUTION: The display device has a touch panel which comprises: a plurality of column electrodes and a plurality of row electrodes arranged in a grid shape on the touch panel surface; a plurality of sensors for generating at an intersection between orthogonal electrodes a detection signal in response to a touch operation on the touch panel; integration means, with one of the column electrodes and row electrodes as a scan line and the other of the column electrodes and row electrodes as a read line, for adding up sensor output values when the scan line is driven any times; and determination means for comparing an arbitrary determination threshold and the detection signal to determine presence or absence of touch detection. The display device comprises: display means for displaying image data; means for extracting from the image data a touch area which is highly likely to be touched by an operator; and means for changing the drive frequency on the scan line corresponding to the touch area such that the integration frequency on the sensor corresponding to the touch area is increased. |
