PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner capable of effectively removing dust on a floor surface by brush bristles of side brushes. ! SOLUTION: A vacuum cleaner includes a body case. The vacuum cleaner includes drive wheels for allowing the body case to travel on a floor surface. The vacuum cleaner includes side brushes 18 arranged in the body case. Each side brush 18 includes a rotation part 31 arranged to be rotatable in nearly parallel with the floor surface. The side brush 18 includes arms 35 having elasticity at least on the tip end sides and projecting from the rotation part 31. The side brush 18 includes multiple brush bristles 36 projecting toward the floor surface from the arms 35 by inclination in the opposite direction of a rotation direction R of the rotation part 31 so as to scrape dust on the floor surface. !
