PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmission device of a saddle-riding type vehicle, which is easily applicable also to the saddle-riding type vehicle with a swing arm arranged only at one side of a rear wheel, while preventing increase in the size of a transmission. ! SOLUTION: A power transmission device has a ring gear 33 which is provided coaxially and integrally rotatably with a wheel and transmits power from a motor to the wheel. Between the ring gear 33 and the wheel, an operation chamber 5 is formed by a ring gear shaft 3 and an inner hub 4. In the operation chamber 5, outer plates 6 rotating integrally with the ring gear 3 and inner plates 7 rotating integrally with the inner hub 7 are alternately arranged, and a viscous joint 2 with viscous fluid filled is equipped. Power from the ring gear 33 is always transmitted to the wheel through corotation motion which is caused between the outer plates 6 and the inner plates 7 by the viscous fluid. !
