PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording apparatus that suppresses scattering of paper dust produced when the quantity of ink discharged to an area where a recording medium is cut falls within a predetermined range. ! SOLUTION: A recording apparatus discharges a plurality of types of ink different in color. When the total quantity of the ink discharged to an end area of one page on a recording medium falls within a predetermined range, the quantity of each color ink is corrected on the basis of the total quantity of the ink, and recording is performed so that density of a predetermined color image can become almost equal to density outside the end area in the quantity of the ink, different from the quantity of the ink outside the end area. !
