PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a number of timbres and kinds used to be easily selected according to a musical tone generation instruction operation while enabling corresponding musical sound signals to be generated with three or more timbres according to a plurality of musical tone generation instructions.SOLUTION: An operation state detection part 32 detects a musical tone generation instruction received by a plurality of operation parts corresponding to respective tone pitches. A reference tone pitch determination part 33 determines a reference tone pitch based on the tone pitch of the musical tone generation instruction. A division point setting part 34 sets a plurality of division points for dividing a sound range corresponding to the respective operation parts at a position away from the reference tone pitch by a predetermined tone pitch. The timbre setting part 37 sets the timbre for each partial sound range generated by the division. The sound range determination part 38 allows the musical sound signal of the tone pitch of the received musical tone generation instruction to be generated by a musical sound generation part 39 with the timbre set to the partial sound range to which the tone pitch belongs. |
