PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the charge transfer time from a photoelectric conversion part to a charge voltage conversion part, without increasing the capacity of the charge voltage conversion part. ! SOLUTION: An imaging element includes a photoelectric conversion part PD for converting light into charges, a charge voltage conversion part FD for converting charges into a voltage, and a transfer part MTR for transferring the charges subjected to photoelectric conversion in the photoelectric conversion part PD from the photoelectric conversion part PD to the charge voltage conversion part FD. The charge voltage conversion part FD has a first region FDt including a region connected with the transfer part MTR, and a second region FDs separated farther from the transfer part MTR than the first region FDt.
