Class 126 [Also in Group XIV] A compartment having a pivoted door and a shelf movably mounted on one of a number of pairs of shelf supports on the sides has a link connecting the door to a pivot member guided. for movement external to the compartment and parallel to the direction of movement of the shelf, and a detachable and adjustable connection between the shelf and the pivot member to ensure projection of the shelf when the door is opened. Links 60 connect the double doors 24 of an electric oven to a nylon pivot formed on a block 64, Fig 5, sliding in a guide 68 below the bottom 'wall of the oven. A rod 82 has a bayonet connection with the block 64, and at its front end carries an arm 88 with pivoted links 90 and connectors 94 which engage the front bar of the oven shelf 34. The rod 82 projects through a hole in a flange forming a door seat immediately below the oven opening, and a groove receives the arm 88 when the doors are closed. The shelf 34 runs in ball races 42 removably secured to a pair of shelf supports 30, Fig. 3, as described in Specification 776,123. Latches, 72 engage the ends of links 60 when the doors are closed.
