The present invention relates to a liquid crystal display device and, more specifically to a liquid crystal display device comprising a top view type LED assembly. By using the top view type LED assembly, high brightness can be shown with small quantities; therefore, it is not necessary to use an expensive LED having a wide scattering range with high brightness, which prevents a problem of costs increase. A yellowish phenomenon can be also prevented, enabling realization of white light having a uniform brightness with a high reproduction of the white color. When using the top view type LED assembly, by tilting the light accepting side of a light guide plate and by installing multiple LEDs on a PCB in which the LED assembly is bent to first through third regions, the thickness of the liquid crystal display device does not increase; furthermore, a lightweight thin type liquid crystal display device can be provided. |
