PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a memory unit capable of connecting to both a memory interface and an I/O interface. ! SOLUTION: The memory unit comprises a first storage device 200 mounted in a DIMM slot 111, a second storage device 300 mounted in the DIMM slot 111 and connected to an I/O interface also, and a third storage device 400 connected to the I/O interface, the second storage device 300 being set, by switching, to a first operation mode capable of reading out data stored in a nonvolatile memory via a memory interface and a second operation mode capable of writing and reading data to and from the nonvolatile memory via the I/O interface. When the second storage device 300 is in the first operation mode, the data to be written to based on a write request issued for the second storage device 300 is stored in the third storage device 400. !
