PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent dust, water, or the like from intruding into a gap between an optical component and an attachment. ! SOLUTION: An attachment 20 for an optical component is an attachment detachable from a photoelectric sensor 10 having a light projection window 12a that allows light to pass therethrough. A cylindrical lens 23 is disposed on an arrangement section 21. The arrangement section 21 is mounted on the photoelectric sensor 10 by using holding sections 22a, 22b in such a manner that the cylindrical lens 23 is disposed to face the light projection window 12a. A sealing member 80 seals a part through which light passes in a space between a surface 12s of the light projection window 12a and a surface 23a of the cylindrical lens 23 in a state of being mounted on the photoelectric sensor 10. An adhesion section 81 adheres to the two surfaces 12s and 23a in a state of being mounted on the photoelectric sensor 10.
