PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection method and device for a packaging body, capable of more reliably inspecting content leakage than the conventional method and device. ! SOLUTION: An inspection method and device for a packaging body is configured to irradiate a packaging body 1 housing a content with ultraviolet ray and capture an image of the packaging body by using an RGB color camera 4, and to inspect leakage of the content containing a fluorescent substance from the captured image. In a state of a B-magnification of the RGB color camera 4 being set smaller than an R-magnification and a G-magnification, control means 11 captures an image of the packaging body by using the RGB color camera 4 and inspects the leakage of the content from the captured image. It is desirable that the B-magnification of the RGB color camera is set within 0.1-0.5 times, and the R-magnification and the G-magnification are set within 2-10 times, respectively.
