PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector capable of suppressing occurrence of pixel shift.SOLUTION: A projector comprises: a light source device; a plurality of optical modulation devices (liquid crystal panel 453); a color synthesizer (prism 455) having a plurality of light incident surfaces and a light emission surface for emitting synthetic light obtained by synthesizing a plurality of pieces of color light made incident; a projection optical device; mounting members (first holding member 51 and second holding member 52); a duct 62 where cooling air is fed to at least one of the plurality of optical modulation devices (liquid crystal panel 453); a first support member (prism base 49) extending in a direction intersecting with a feed-out direction of the cooling air through the duct 62 and supporting the color synthesizer (prism 455); and a regulation member 8 being brought into contact with the first support member (prism base 49) when the color synthesizer (prism 455) is moved in a direction approaching the duct 62 and regulating a collision of at least any of the plurality of optical modulation devices (liquid crystal panel 453) with the duct 62. |
