摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a negative electrode active material capable of reducing and suppressing expansion coefficient of silicon, improving conductivity, and achieving favorable charge/discharge cycle characteristics.SOLUTION: A negative electrode material for a secondary battery capable of absorbing and desorbing lithium comprises an alloy particle including a silicon phase and a metal phase and a carbon material. The silicon phase has a crystallite size of 10 nm or less. The metal phase includes two or more metals that are alloyed with silicon, but are not alloyed with lithium. The carbon material has a crystallite size of 30 nm or more, and exists on a surface or at the inside of the alloy particle.
