PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism which allows a user to easily recognize an amount of sheets which can be loaded when an obstacle is removed, and an amount of sheets which can be loaded without removing the obstacle.SOLUTION: A sheet loading device comprises: lowering control means which lowers a sheet loading part; determination means which determines that the sheet loading part cannot be lowered by the lowering control part; acquisition means which acquires the position of the sheet loading part determined that it cannot be lowered by the determination means; specification means which specifies an amount of sheets which can be loaded when sheets are loaded on the sheet loading part without removing an obstacle placed below the sheet loading part on the basis of the position acquired by the acquisition means; and notification means which notifies of the amount of sheets specified by the specification means, and the amount of sheets which can be loaded when the sheets are loaded on the sheet loading part after removing the obstacle placed below the sheet loading part. |
