PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a component mounting machine capable of improving productivity by efficiently operating a rotary head even if the number of components to be picked up by the rotary head is changed.SOLUTION: In the component mounting machine, a rotary head 10 successively picks up and holds components from a component supply part, imaging means images the components held by holders of the rotary head, and the rotary head then iteratively executes a cycle of relatively moving toward a component mounting part to mount the components on a substrate and relatively returning to the component supply part after component mounting. An initial position of revolution of the rotary head is set in such a manner that, while the rotary head relatively returns to the component supply part after component mounting in a present cycle, a final component to be picked up in the next cycle is picked up by a final holder on the basis of information about the number of components in the next cycle. |
