PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing system for allowing an efficient sorting operation with less mistake for a user from a plurality of printing results by sandwiching sorting sheets in a printing job.SOLUTION: In order to sort printing results of a printing job, sorting sheets are cut from index sheets which are the sheets placed on a cassette, the sorting sheets, and the printing results of the printing job corresponding to the sorting sheets instructed from a client device are alternately ejected on a paper ejection tray. Size of at least one direction is longer than size of the sheets which are the printing results of the printing job, becomes a bookmarker part protruding from a part overlapped with the printing results, and furthermore, for size in other directions, the index sheets are cut so that length of each shorting sheets is different by a predetermined calculation method for every output result of the printing job instructed from the client device.
