PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve measurement accuracy of a subject information acquisition device that performs both photoacoustic measurement and ultrasonic measurement.SOLUTION: A subject information acquisition device includes: light irradiation means 103; a photoacoustic wave probe 104 for acquiring a photoacoustic wave signal corresponding to a photoacoustic wave; an ultrasonic probe 105 for transmitting an ultrasonic wave to a subject and acquiring an ultrasonic signal; scanning means 112 for scanning the photoacoustic wave probe and the ultrasonic probe; control means for performing first measurement for light irradiation and acquisition of the photoacoustic wave signal by the light irradiation means and the photoacoustic wave probe, and second measurement for transmission of the ultrasonic wave and acquisition of the ultrasonic signal by the ultrasonic probe; and signal processing means 108 and 109 for generating information in the subject based on the acquired signal. The control means performs the second measurement at a timing at which the first measurement is not performed, and controls the timing of the first and second measurements so that the ultrasonic signal corresponding to the location of the ultrasonic probe at the time when the first measurement is performed is acquired in the second measurement. |
