PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle control device which does not perform an automatic start of an engine according to a request of a driver.SOLUTION: A vehicle control device comprises: brake hold means; engine start means for requesting a start of an engine when any condition out of a plurality of start conditions is satisfied; and operation support means for forcibly starting the engine when the engine is not started even if a prescribed first condition out of the plurality of the start conditions is satisfied. The vehicle control device can selectively switch between the operation and the non-operation of the brake hold means, and in a case that the start of the engine is not requested by the engine start means which satisfies a prescribed second start condition out of the first start condition when the brake hold means is in operation, the vehicle control device does not operate the operation support means. |
