PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system in which a slave unit can receive a beacon signal and can be synchronized regardless of a starting order of a master unit and the slave unit, and a load required for communication processing of the slave unit can be reduced, and to provide a heat-ray sensor terminal used therein.SOLUTION: A slave unit 2: starts a continuous receiving operation after startup and, in a case where a beacon signal cannot be received during the continuous receiving operation; communicates by using a communication frame that is structured by including a downlink slot and managed by the slave unit 2; and performs an intermittent receiving operation using the downlink slot in an intermittent reception cycle that is an integer multiple of one cycle of this communication frame. A master unit 1 continuously transmits a start signal after startup, and then transmits the beacon signal and in the case where the start signal is received during the intermittent receiving operation, the slave unit 2 starts the continuous receiving operation. |
