PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a signal be processed at an appropriate level.SOLUTION: A signal processing device comprises: an analog unit for processing an acquired signal in an analog manner; and a digital unit for processing the signal processed by the analog unit, in a digital manner. The analog unit comprises an adjustment unit for discretely adjusting gain. The digital unit comprises a digital step compensation unit for compensating for the discrete gain adjustment by the analog unit. The digital step compensation unit responds to a transient step in which gain is steeply converted by the analog unit, and performs compensation using a characteristic reverse to a transient response. This technology can be applied to an Automatic Gain Control (AGC) system.
