PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal separator material which shows high anticorrosion performance even under a usage environment of a solid polymer fuel cell, and a metal separator using the material.SOLUTION: A metal separator material is constituted by austenite stainless steel and is used for a metal separator of a solid polymer fuel cell. The austenite stainless steel includes C≤0.080 mass%, 2.0≤Si≤7.0 mass%, Mn≤2.0 mass%, P≤0.05 mass%, S≤0.03 mass%, 11.5≤Ni≤15.0 mass%, 15.0≤Cr≤20.0 mass%, and Cu<1.0 mass%, and the remaining is constituted by Fe and inevitable impurities. A metal separator is provided with a base material constituted by the metal separator material and a conductive coated film formed on the surface of the base material. |
