PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To illuminate a prescribed area brightly and evenly and also make speckles inconspicuous.SOLUTION: An illumination device 40 includes: an optical scanner unit 65 configured to change a direction of travel of coherent light emitted from a light source array having a plurality of light source units each of which emits coherent light; collimator lens array having a plurality of collimator lenses configured to convert respective rays of the coherent light whose direction of travel has been changed at the optical scanner unit into parallel light; and an optical element 50 configured to receive the coherent light emitted from the plurality of collimator lenses and disperse the coherent light.
