PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that, when a temperature change occurs in a piezoelectric actuator, it is impossible to inhibit a change in characteristics of the piezoelectric actuator. ! SOLUTION: An optical scanning type endoscope comprises: an optical fiber exiting light from an exit end; an oscillation member that is adhesively fixed to a part of a tip end of the optical fiber and oscillates the exit end so as to scan the light exited from the exit end at a prescribed trajectory; a support member that supports the oscillation member and is disposed to enclose the oscillation member; and a first heat generating element provided inside the support member for controlling the temperature of the support member.
