PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a detection sensor for detecting a dust box from being mechanically impacted from the dust box. ! SOLUTION: A vacuum cleaner includes a suction part for sucking dust, a dust box for accumulating sucked dust, a housing chamber for housing the dust box detachably, a detection sensor for detecting attachment/detachment of the dust box to/from the housing chamber, and a control part for controlling the suction part by receiving output from a detection part.
