Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for providing a real time content streaming service based on a social network service. The real time content streaming service according to the present invention includes: a step of receiving a list of content receivers selected among social network service members who have acquaintanceships with a content transmitter in a social network service from a terminal of the content transmitter; and a step of transmitting streaming data to the terminals of at least a part of the content receivers included in the list in a real time streaming method when the real time streaming data of the content produced by the terminal of the content transmitter are received from the terminal of the content transmitter.
