PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet processing device capable of improving productivity by suppressing delay of process time even in a case where a stable mode and a non-staple mode continue.SOLUTION: A sheet processing device 1A includes a main transportation path 2 which constitutes a transportation route where a sheet which is not bound is transported, a sheet binding transportation path 3 constituting a transportation route that has branched from the main transportation path 2, and a sheet binding part 4 for binding a sheet bundle transported by the sheet binding transportation path 3. In the sheet processing device 1A, in a case where a staple mode and a non-staple mode continue, a transportation route for a sheet which is discharged without binding is taken as the sheet binding transportation path 3. Thus, by transporting a sheet that is bound and a sheet that is not bound sequentially in the sheet binding transportation path 3, the time required for making the sheet that is discharged in the non-staple mode that follows the staple mode wait is reduced, for improved productivity. |
