PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a start control device of an internal combustion engine which can suppress occurrence of an operation sound of a high-pressure fuel pump at a start of the internal combustion engine.SOLUTION: A start control device 60 of an internal combustion engine is employed in a vehicle which comprises: an engine 40 having an injector 10 for directly injecting fuel into a cylinder; a high-pressure fuel pump 30 which pressure-feeds fuel injected by the injector 10; and a motor 50 which can raise a rotation speed of the engine 40 up to an idle rotation speed from a stopped state. The start control device comprises: a rotation force imparting part which imparts rotation force to the engine 40 by the motor 50 when starting the engine 40; and a pressure-feeding control part which reduces, when starting the engine 40, the number of times of pressure-feeding by the high-pressure fuel pump 30 compared to a normal operation of the engine 40, and sets a pressure-feeding amount of one time by the high-pressure fuel pump 30 to a pressure-feeding amount at which a plurality of times of fuel injections by the injector 10 can be performed. |
