PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positive electrode capable of preventing a positive electrode mixture from being dropped off from a current collector foil during discharge even in a case where charging is performed at 4.4 V (vs.Li/Li) or more.SOLUTION: In a positive electrode for a lithium secondary battery comprising positive electrode mixture layers containing lithium transition metal composite oxide as a positive electrode active material, and a current collector foil, two or more positive electrode mixture layers are provided. At least one of the positive electrode mixture layers 3 contains lithium transition metal composite oxide having an α-NaFeOstructure and in which a transition metal (Me) contains Co, Ni, and Mn, and that has a Li molar ratio Li/Me greater than 1.2 and a molar ratio Mn/Me satisfying Mn/Me≥0.5. The positive electrode mixture layer 2 contacted with the current collector foil 1 contains lithium transition metal composite oxide in which a transition metal (Me') contains one or more kinds selected from Co, Ni, and Mn, and that has a Li molar ratio Li/Me' of 1.2 or less and a molar ratio Mn/Me' satisfying 0≤Mn/Me'≤0.4. |
