PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fine particle mixture for nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery which allows for thinning of the separator of a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery, while enhancing the insulation performance of the separator, and to provide an electrode for nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery, and a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery.SOLUTION: A fine particle mixture for nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery contains swellable fine particles swelling in the electrolyte of a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery, and thermal expansion fine particles having lower swelling property to electrolyte compared with the swellable fine particles and a thermal expansion property, and has an average particle size of 0.05-0.5 μm. A novel and improved microcapsule for nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery, and the like, which exists stably in a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery, and capable of ensuring inter-electrode insulation during abnormal heat generation thereof, are also provided by thinning the nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery. |
